Orange Salmon with Green Onions, and Saturday nails.

I grew up in Alaska, we ate Salmon all the time.....and I LOVE it. I am always looking for new recipes for salmon. For Valentines Day and my Aunt Mary's birthday, we went to Washington, while we were there my Uncle Bob made the best Salmon. He cooked in the boiler, with bacon and sweet chili sauce. Yummm-o. ( I will get the recipe from him and post it later), however tonight we are having a recipe I found in Better Homes and Garden; June 2016 issuse.
Orange Salmon and Green Onions.
2 naval oranges, halved
2 limes, juiced (1/4 cup)
3 Tbsp tamari or soy sauce
1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
4 tsp vegetable oil
12 green onions, trimmed
1 lb boneless salmon fillet (skin on)

Preheat over to 425.
Juice one orange for 1/3 cup juice. Cut remaining orange into wedges
In a small bowl stir together:orange juice,  lime juice, tamari or soy sauce, ginger, and 2tsp of oil.
Drizzle the bottom of a au gratin (or cake pan) with the remaining 2tbs of oil.
Place green onions and orange wedges in the dish; toss to coat.
Place the salmon , skin side down, in the center of the dish
Drizzle with orange juice mixture
Bake 15 minutes or until salmon is opaque and starting to flake

To go along with the fish theme of the night I think that we will watch "Heart of the Sea."

Also it's Saturday; nail night. My cousins and I have been into white nails the last few weeks. We love the look for spring. I think I am going to keep my nails white for one more week.

I hope everyone has an amazing Saturday evening and wonderful Sunday.

HAPPY Sunday. Today was a CrAZy day. During church a friend texted me, her car battery went dead last night. I have ZERO idea on how to change a car battery, I have seen my dad change mine a few times, but never really paid attention. I texted her I would help after church. I told her to look on You Tube, to at least give us an idea of how to change a car battery. When I got home I hurry changed out of my dress, and looked on You Tube. I did find one that made it look easy.
This help a ton! After watching, I felt like we could do it.  I got to her house and a few minutes later her son came, with a new battery and took care of it. Thank goodness...I still think we could have done it, but it was nice we didn't have to! I got home around 5:30. I wanted to take a nap, but a friend was in need.

My favorite football team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. I have been I Steeler fan since I was 16. My first boyfriend was a fan, so like a "dumb girl" I was fan. But in the end I actually ended up really like them. Today they played the 49ers.
I have a friend at work, that everyone swears we are twins, even the mailman doesn't believe us that we are not. Her favorite team is the 49ers. I caught the last few minutes of the game...and my Steelers were kicking BUTT!

The final score 43 -18

My dad loves the Seahawks, my Uncle (his brother) live just outside of Seattle, so they bond over the Seahawks. It's fun to hear them talk about the game, before and after, They took a beating last week from the Rams and neither one of them wanted to talk about it. This week The Hawks played Green Bay. I made some pizza and we watched the game. I cheered for Green Bay, just to make it fun! One of the Seahawks got kicked out of the game!!! POOR SPORT!
The final score was
27-17
I hope that everyone enjoys helping friends in need, football, and hanging out with friends and family as much as I do, I truly life a blessed life,
